What are the car insurance laws in Nebraska and Iowa?

The state of Nebraska requires all drivers to carry auto insurance with uninsured motorist/underinsured motorist (UI/UIM) coverage. If the negligent driver was uninsured, we can help you pursue a claim for damages with your own insurance company.

If the negligent driver was underinsured, we can pursue a claim for damages with the negligent driver’s insurance company, up to the amount of coverage on the policy. The state of Iowa does not require drivers to have UI/UIM coverage on their policies. We recommend that all drivers in Iowa carry this coverage. That way, if you are hit by an uninsured or underinsured driver, you can still file a claim for damages with your own insurance company.
